  • Newman recognises and values a range of qualifications and also offers a scholarship to students studying 3 year full-time degree courses taught wholly on the Newman campus who achieve high grades in non-A Level qualifications prior to studying at Newman. All students who achieve a minimum of DDM (DDD for BTEC Early Years) in a BTEC National qualification, Grade A in the CACHE Diploma, 34 points or above on the International Baccalaureate or a completed Access Diploma with 45 credits at level 3 of which 30 credits must be at distinction and 15 credits at merit or higher will receive £2,000 over three years. A full range of qualifications which qualify for this scholarship are at the bottom of the page. In order to be eligible for the scholarship students must: meet the academic qualifications, be studying on a full-time, three year undergraduate course that charges the full tuition fee and must have selected Newman as your conditional firm or unconditional firm choice and be classed as a Home student by the Student Loans Company. To continue to receive the scholarships in years 2 and 3 of your course you must pass all modules at the first attempt each year, achieving an average of 60% or above across all modules and progress onto the next stage of the course at the end of every academic year.
