  • This bursary will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission on either a one year full-time or two year part-time basis for a taught postgraduate programme of study at the University of the Highlands and Islands.To be eligible, applicants must; Be Scottish by birth OR Be of Scottish extraction (have at least one parent born in Scotland) OR Have received three full years of secondary, further and/or higher education in Scotland. Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of the Highlands and Islands and should have firmly accepted that offer. Applicants who do not hold an offer of admission by the deadline will not be considered for the award. The bursary will be awarded on the basis of academic merit with due consideration also being given to financial circumstances.

South Asia Subcontinent Scholarship

Taught postgraduate Loans
4500 From 2017, eligible Scotland domiciled students studying full time for any taught postgraduate course up to full Masters level can access loans up to 10,000 from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS).
UHISF Scholarship (USA citizen only)
2000 $2000 for any one year of study.
Fully-funded PHD studentships 2016/17
The studentship covers fees at the Home/EU rate only, plus a stipend at the RCUK level, for a total of 42 months (including writing-up).
