  • Candidates must be Scottish by birth; be of Scottish extraction(have at least one parent born in Scotland) or have received 3 full years of secondary, further and/or higher education in Scotland. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit and promise and financial need. Candidates should be qualified, deserving, industrious and ambitious. The bursaries support PG Masters that will enhance a candidates' employability, develop their specialist skills or supplement existing ones. At the time of applying, candidates must have been accepted on a PG degree programme leading to qualification at Master level. PG Diploma or certificate courses are not eligible. Any one year (or 2 consecutive years if studying part-time) postgraduate Master's degree course is eligible, other than MPhil or a similar programme undertaken solely by research.
