  • This is for talented people who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields; including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion, and academia. Applicants should be high calibre graduates with the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership. Chevening Scholars come from over 110 countries worldwide (excluding the USA and the EU). You must: be a citizen of a Chevening - eligible country at the time of applying for the award, and intend to return there at the end of the period of study (you must also be available to attend an interview in your home country); demonstrate that you have achieved the minimum Chevening English language requirement and have completed at least two years' work or equivalent experience before applying (including voluntary work and paid or unpaid internships). Minimum results required: You must hold a degree that is equivalent to at least an upper second class honours degree in the UK (some universities use NARIC to assess degree equivalency).
