  • The College of Life Sciences is offering up to 10 PhD studentships and waiving of all tuition fees for successful China Scholarship Council (CSC) applicants for 2014. Potential applicants should first apply for a College of Life Sciences PhD stating clearly on the application form that you wish to apply for CSC funding. At the time of applying to the CSC, applicants must have already received: an unconditional offer for a PhD project from the University of Dundee; confirmation from the University of Dundee that tuition fees will be waived on gaining a CSC scholarship; a recommendation from the applicant's home (Chinese) university. Applicants should also meet the English language requirements of the University of Dundee. The key elements of the programme consist of: PhD projects in laboratories run by internationally-renowned scientists; structured training and mentoring programme; full access to postgraduate training programme and "Generic Skills" courses.

You will be awarded £3,000 per year, which is deducted from your annual tuition fee.

17050 A scholarship includes: (home/EU rate) tuition fees; stipend of £15,400 (tax free, adjusted each year); research costs of up to £400; student personal research expenses up to £625; a contribution to travel costs up to £625.
Discover Dundee (RUK) Scholarship
2000 Scholarship is a one-off award of £2,000; paid to undergraduate RUK students in their first year of entry to eligible programmes.
ESRC Studentship
This will be at the annually published ESRC rates and will include tuition fees at the Home/EU rate, plus an annual stipend for Home students only.
