Qualifying Details
The Law Department is able to offer up to 4 Graduate Teaching Assistants per year. The responsibilities of the post deals with teaching undergraduate subjects (with all the appropriate administration that accompanies this- such as providing office hours, marking of student essays), GTA's will also be involved with the examining duties and undertake a role as student advisers to non PhD students in the Department. This is worth £12,000 for 2008-9 entry plus waiver of home fees. Graduate Teaching Assistantships are allocated on the basis of the teaching needs in the Department and the areas of expertise of the PhD students.
