Qualifying Details
The IOE bursary is to assist students from low-income households. Payment is made in one lump sum, up to a maximum of £338. The amount is calculated on a sliding scale based on income assessment.The bursary is also linked to the government's maintenance grant and special support grant so you need to have applied for your student support from Student Finance England (SFE). UK and some EU students enrolling on a PGCE course or full-time undergraduate programme are eligible for this bursary. You do not need to apply for this award, it is automatically calculated based on the grant you receive from SFE.
