  • Eligibility requirement:
  • Process and eligibility: Students must first apply to the IOE for a place on one our Masters programmes. Once the application to the IOE is submitted, students are then eligible to apply directly to the Said Foundation for a scholarship. Students do not need an offer of a place from the IOE in order to apply for a scholarship from the Said Foundation. Students need only demonstrate that they have applied to the IOE. Of course, receiving a scholarship from the Said Foundation will ultimately depend upon a student receiving an offer of a place from the IOE. To apply for a Saïd Foundation Scholarship students must complete the Said Foundation Application Form, available as a pdf or a Word document. Students should also: 1. have a good first degree, 2. provide evidence of their proficiency in English, 3. be under forty years of age, 4. be Jordanian, Lebanese, Syrian or Palestinian (including Palestinians inside Israel) and be resident in the Middle East, 5. demonstrate that their chosen course of study will be of use to their home country or the Middle East region, 6. have at least two years' work experience, 7. sign a binding undertaking to apply the skills and knowledge gained in one of the Foundation's target countries. Scholarship applications should be submitted (using the Foundation's own application forms) to British Council offices in Lebanon, Syria, Palestine or Jordan.
