  • This scholarship is to assist Japanese students studying at Master’s level in a Scottish university. All complete applications received by post between March 1 and the end of April each year, whether from applicants currently in Japan or applicants currently outside Japan, will be considered. Selection will be made by the board of the Japan Scotland Society (JSS). All applicants will be notified (in writing, at the end of July, provided a contact address in Japan has been provided) of whether their application was successful or not. Funds will be provided by bank transfer to the successful applicant not more than a fortnight after the commencement of their university course. Applicants must satisfy the following two conditions be a Japanese national planning to enter a postgraduate course at Masters level and someone who undertakes to be active in the Japan Scotland Society (JSS) after completion of their studies. Recipients will be expected to report on their studies and activities to JSS after completion of their studies.
