  • The Leverhulme Trade Charities Postgraduate Bursaries are designed to provide support for eligible UK students i.e. those who are (or who are connected with) Commercial Travellers, Grocers or Chemists, in financial need undertaking full-time Postgraduate degree courses at institutions in the United Kingdom, leading to recognised qualifications (e.g. PhD/MSc). Applicants should normally have been resident in the United Kingdom and either be (or be the son or daughter, spouse, widow or widower of) a Commercial Traveller, Chemist, or Grocer, according to the definitions (“the eligible individual”). Eligible courses: Any full-time postgraduate degree course at a higher or further education institution in the UK, being either a body recognised by the Secretary of State for Education and Employment for the award of a degree or a body providing courses in preparation for a degree to be granted by a recognised body. Financial need: Applicants must provide justification for their reasons for applying for a bursary, they must also submit with their application form the "Declaration and Justification of Financial Need" form signed by the eligible individual. The funded subject areas are: Arts and Law, Engineering and Physical Sciences, Life and Environmental Sciences, Medical and Dental Sciences, Social Sciences.

College of Arts and Law Distance Learning Research Bursaries
Awards are worth up to £3,000 for full-time home/EU students and up to £10,000 for full-time overseas students and are paid as a contribution towards tuition fees.
College of Arts and Law Doctoral Scholarships
11000 This award covers tuition fees for three years full-time, or six years part-time. The awards also include £11,000 support per year towards living expenses for full-time applicants, adjusted pro-rata for part-time applicants.
College of Arts and Law Masters Scholarships
This award covers one year's tuition fees at UK/EU rates for full-time applicants, or two years part-time.
Funds for Women Graduates Foundation Grants
6000 The amount of the Foundation Grant will be decided by FfWG, but normally will not exceed £6,000.
