  • You can apply for the Merchants House Bursary if you are a full-time undergraduate student in Year 2 (level 8) or above, studying in any subject area. You must be Scottish by birth, have a permanent home address in the Paisley area (i.e. postal code: PA1, PA2, PA3, PA4 & PA5) and have attended secondary school in that area. You will need to have applied to/received a decision from all statutory funding available. This includes bursaries, student loans and Discretionary funds. You will also need to provide evidence showing why you need this extra support, and demonstrate how it will help you throughout your studies.

This includes bursaries, student loans and Discretionary funds.
International Accommodation Bursary
1000 per year for 1 year only £1,000 deducted from the cost of accommodation in the University's self-catering residences or flats. for 1 Academic year
Early Payment Incentive - Tuition Fees
10% discount on tuition fees.
Postgraduate Scholarship (UWS Graduates Progressing to Postgraduate Course)
10% will be deducted from tuition fees on progression to postgraduate study.
International Research Excellence Scholarship
3500 Full self-funded full fee paying students may be eligible for a £3,500 scholarship upon receipt of completed application with associated documentation. You may also be entitled to a further 10% Early Payment Incentive. for 1 Academic year
British Marshall Scholarships
University fees, cost of living expenses, annual book grant, thesis grant, research and daily travel grants, fares to and from the United States and, where applicable, a contribution towards the support of a dependent spouse. for 1 Academic year
