- Eligibility requirement:
- Worth a total of £3m over 3 years, the scheme will see over 1100 of Newport’s 1500 annual intake of full time undergraduate students receiving support. The poorest students will receive a total of £4,000 during their course while those with a family income between £25,000 and £50,000 will be eligible for £2,000 directly from the University. This is on top of the support packages available through Government and student support agencies.

Fairwood Trust Start up Scholarship
A bursary of £200 per week for 25 weeks, up to a maximum of £5000, will be paid to successful applicants who continue to comply with their business development plan as agreed at monthly meetings with the business advisor. for 1 Academic year
Social Work Bursary
£2,500 per year for 1 year only Tuition fee support is also provided - £1,285 for undergraduate students, and up to £3,390 for postgraduate students. The bursary is calculated on a pro-rata basis for those who study part-time. for 1 Academic year
