  • To be eligible for this award student need to meet all the criteria. The RTS bursary is for people who are new to higher education, if they have previously studied a higher education course they will not be eligible for this scholarship. This bursary is for 'Home' full-time undergraduate students starting in autumn 2015. Students from the EU and from Overseas are not eligible for this scheme They must have accepted an offer as their 'firm choice' to study full time on one of the Creative Skill set or Broadcast Journalism Training Council undergraduate programmes listed within these Guidance Notes. They must have a household income of £25,000 or less. They will not need to provide evidence of this at the point of application, but bursary awards will not be confirmed until they have sent us confirmation from the Student Finance (or relevant body for Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland) that their household income is below £25,000 per annum. The evidence we will normally require is notification of their entitlement to a loan or maintenance grant. They must have applied to Student Finance before they submit their application.
  • Application details:
  • Students will need to complete the application form on the Royal Television Society website, and attach a copy of their UCAS personal statement. They should also include a link to an example of their work or attach a file. The application form also asks them for contact details for a referee who would support their application. This should be a School or College tutor or someone they have worked for. Family members are not acceptable. They will need to get the referee's agreement to put their details on this form. Please note, all applications must be submitted electronically. Applications must be received by midnight on 31 May 2015. Any applications received after this deadline will not be eligible for consideration for this award. Please do not leave this until the last minute, as IT systems are likely to be busy, and it may take some time to upload their application.

Postgraduate Bursary
500 per year for 1 year (renewable) In each academic year you need to apply for your PG Bursary by 31 July. If you are on a research programme you can receive a maximum of 3 bursary payments. for 1 Years (renewable)
National Scholarship Programme
1500 £1,500 - tuition fee for year one. £1,000 towards first year accommodation in our student village(The Green) (if you are not living in The Green you will get further £1,000 in tuition fees). £500 towards University Services.
Academic Excellence Scholarships
1500 The scholarship is worth £1,500 and is given as a fee reduction. The award is valid for one year only.
Business Relationship Bursary
A Business relationship bursary of up to 35% on any company-sponsored or part-sponsored Master’s course is available for companies with whom the School has a relationship or demonstrated business engagement.
University of Bradford Global Development Scholarship
20000 Full tuition fees and accommodation in The Green will be covered plus £3,500 per annum living costs to be paid in three installments – October, January and April. Each scholarship is worth approximately £20,000.
Scholarships for China
Full fee scholarships is provided for 10 students and Half-fee scholarships is provided for 25 students.
Country Specific Scholarships
2000 All students from one of the World Bank countries will be entitled to get a £2,000 fee scholarship as a fee reduction for meeting or exceeding the entry criteria.
Social Work Bursaries
A limited and capped number of bursaries will be available for students on years two and three of the BA Social Work. (Bursaries are no longer available for year one of BA Social Work courses).
Half Fee Academic Excellence Scholarships
If students are on a course lasting longer than one year then subsequent payments will depend on ,they getting an average of over 60%. They are not entitled to any other scholarships or discounts.
University of Bradford Undergraduate Bursary Scheme
500 University we will be offering a £500 cash bursary per year to all Home and EU undergraduate students whose family incomes are under £30,000 a year.
