  • To be considered for the scholarship students must meet eligibility criteria: be a national of one of the following countries: Canada, China, India, United States of America; they will have applied to UHI for a place starting in September 2016 or January 2017 and have firmly accepted the offer, either conditional or unconditional before applying; their course must be at an Undergraduate, Masters or Phd level and it must fall into one of the priority subject areas: creative industries, life sciences, technology, financial services, renewable and clean energy; they must be able to demonstrate that they can meet the costs of living and remaining tuition fees.

Taught postgraduate Loans
4500 From 2017, eligible Scotland domiciled students studying full time for any taught postgraduate course up to full Masters level can access loans up to 10,000 from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS).
UHISF Scholarship (USA citizen only)
2000 $2000 for any one year of study.
Fully-funded PHD studentships 2016/17
The studentship covers fees at the Home/EU rate only, plus a stipend at the RCUK level, for a total of 42 months (including writing-up).
