  • Bucks New University offers talented athletes the opportunity Two players from a Varsity hockey gain financial support from our 'Sporting Excellence Scholarships'. You should be studying a sports degree programme and apply with a Sport Performance CV, including two sport-related references and a written statement of 250-300 words. This should consider any evidence of sporting achievements, existing sponsorships you may have and your contributions to community through sport. The Awards are payable as fee waivers, and are as follows: Naomi Riches Award (two places) up to £3,500 per year. You should demonstrate international standard sporting performance, and have an AAB academic profile or equivalent. Should you be successful, responsibilities will include: Demonstrating achievement at various sporting and academic levels. Applying for one scholarship each year. Representing Bucks at several competitions including Varsity. Supporting Bucks through publicity of sporting achievements. Upholding the Learning Partnership Agreement in line with the University’s culture and values. Submitting a list of competitions and events you intend to compete in during the year. Participation in university-wide promotional activity/media events.

Study Tour Bursary
Students may be eligible for a bursary of up to £500 to cover the cost of any study tours related to their course.
Bucks Scholarship Programme
1000 Recipients will be entitled to a financial award of up to £1000 in their first, second and third years of study (up to a maximum of three years in total).
Social Work Bursary
The bursary covers tuition fees cost. for 1 Academic year
Bucks Advantage Bursary Scheme (BABS)
Payments are usually given as grants and do not have to be repaid.
Bucks Hardship Fund
The Fund can only help with the payment of fees if you are a continuing PT undergraduate home student in receipt of the AFSS, who is studying for atleast 50% of a FT equivalent course (or 25% in the case of disabled students)
Placement Travel Bursary
This placement travel bursary offers up to £500 to help you cover the cost of travelling to a placement that you have secured during your studies.
Sports Excellence Scholarship - Bronze Award
Bronze Award (three places) up to £500 per year.
Sports Excellence Scholarship - Silver Award
Silver Award (two places) up to £1,500 per year.
Sports Excellence Scholarship - Gold Award
Gold Award (two places) up to £2,000 per year.
Operating Department Practice bursary
UK and EU students studying on the DipHE Operating Department Practice programme will have their tuition fees paid in full by the Department of Health.
