  • This scheme is also open to students who will be starting UCS in September 2015. Students must meet the following criteria in order to apply for a place on the Scheme: Be a new undergraduate student at UCS in 2015-16, paying tuition fees of £8000 (Foundation degree) or £9000 (Bachelor degree); OR a current undergraduate student at UCS in 2015-16, paying tuition fees of £7500 - £8500 for a Foundation or Bachelors degree; Be studying full-time towards a Foundation or Bachelors degree; First generation in their family to go to higher education; Be in receipt of part or all of the maintenance/special support grant (students with a household of income of up to £42,620); Have studied at a Suffolk Sixth Form, College or Academy (including Great Yarmouth College); Have studied a GCSE qualification within the last ten years; Student Finance confirmation must have been received and approved by the closing date. When applying for Student Finance please ensure you consent to share your information with your HEI (i.e. UCS). The following students are not eligible for The Suffolk Access Champion Scheme regardless of meeting the above criteria: NHS-funded students; Any other students whose fees are paid or part-paid through a sponsorship arrangement; Students directly continuing from one course to another (for example from Foundation degree or HND on to the final year of an Honours degree); Students transferring to UCS from another institution.

UCS Bursary 2015
Students will receive a £1000 bursary in their first year of study and a £500 bursary in both their second and third years of study.
UCS Care Leavers Bursary
Applicants will receive a £500 bursary in each year of study at UCS.
Helena Kennedy Foundation Bursary 2015-16
Successful applicants will receive a £1500 bursary
Sports Scholarship 2015
Applicants could receive one of two types of scholarship: Level 1 Minor Award - £500 (County Standard); Level 2 Major Award - £1,000 (National/Junior National Standard).
UCS and Ipswich Borough Council Bursary
Applicants will receive £1000 in their first year of study.
Accession States Bursary
Applicants will receive a total bursary of £1,500, paid across first year and second year of a full-time degree at UCS.
