  • Apprentices: Apprentices who have been accepted on to the first year of an IET Approved Apprenticeship Scheme. Continuation of the bursary will be dependent on receipt of positive annual reports from the apprenticeship provider or employer and examples of engineering ambassadorial activities. Applicants will be required to provide evidence that financial support will help them with their apprenticeship. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for engineering and creative engineering activity. Students: Students who have been accepted onto an IET accredited degree course in the United Kingdom. The Bursaries are available to students in their first year of university. Continuation of the bursary will be dependent on obtaining 50 per cent or more in the overall assessment of the academic year and examples of engineering ambassadorial activities. Applicants will be required to provide evidence that financial support will help them with their engineering studies. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for engineering and creative engineering activity. Students who are already in receipt of, or who are eligible for, an IET Diamond Jubilee scholarship are not eligible for this award.
