  • The Simon Williams Scholarship Fund will offer up to two scholarships worth £1,000 to students wishing to undertake the part-time MA Human Resource Management (including Certificate and Diploma level) or MA Strategic Management and Leadership in September 2015. Students must have accepted your place at Oxford Brookes University for the part time professional development courses listed above; should have, or expect to obtain, a good honours degree or equivalent from a recognised institution of higher education, or have experience which demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills at honours degree standard; and must be self-funding i.e. paying you own course fees. If you are receiving awards from other sources of funding which cover all or part of your tuition fees, you will not be eligible for the Simon Williams Scholarship. Eligibility is not affected by funding covering maintenance costs. Scholarships will be awarded towards the tuition fee for the taught programme. Scholarships do not include a maintenance grant. The award committee has identified several significant qualities associated with Simon which made his contribution so distinctive. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Academic achievement, although not necessarily in terms of formal academic qualifications; integrity through their dealings with others; and evidence of a high level of commitment to completing an undertaking, self-motivation and a willingness to work hard, over and above general expectations.

  • The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 11th September 2015. Applications should be made in writing (there are no forms) with any relevant supporting documentation and must include names of two referees by the 11th September 2015.
