- Application details:
- You must apply for admission to UCL to be eligible to apply for a bursary.
Application for a bursary is by invitation. Taking into account the financial circumstances of their students, UWC Guidance Counselors/University Advisers will invite up to three eligible students from each UWC to apply for the bursary. If you fulfil all the eligibility criteria listed above, you may wish to inform your Guidance Counselor/University Advisor that you are interested in being invited to apply. Those students invited to apply will be provided with an electronic bursary application form by their Guidance Counselor/University Advisor, and will also by late February/early March receive an essay topic set each year by UCL, and instructions regarding the essay which is part of the application for a bursary.
NOTE: Essays must not exceed the permitted word count and be in the candidate’s own words. All essays will be checked for plagiarism. We would advise all students to consult our website on plagiarism. If an essay is found to exceed the permitted number of words, or if UCL finds evidence of plagiarism, the entire application will be deemed ineligible, and will not be considered for a bursary.
Complete applications and essays must be submitted electronically to the UWC Guidance Counselor/University Advisor by 16 March. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered for funding. Your application is deemed incomplete without a valid UCAS application number. Each UWC Guidance Counselor/University Advisor will forward the three applications to UCL Student Funding Office before or by 27 April.
