  • Eligibility criteria: To see if you are eligible for the bursary, please initially note the following criteria before proceeding with our online Eligibility checker: - You have not previously received the UWE Go Global Bursary. - You are a UWE Bristol undergraduate student. - You are a home student. If you are unsure of your student status please view information on how to determine your fee status. - Your global opportunity lasts at least two weeks. - You have been means tested for your student funding for the 2017-18 academic year or you receive. If the answer is yes to all of the above, please proceed with the online Eligibility Checker through InfoHub, for the detailed Student Finance Funding figures needed to determine your full eligibility. Please note: The bursary eligibility criteria has changed slightly when compared to previous years due to recent changes in Student Finance funding. Students will also need to have: - registered for the UWE Futures Award (if eligible) - fully researched the overseas opportunity, even when it has been advertised via UWE Bristol - taken out a worldwide travel insurance policy or, for opportunities contributing directly to your degree, confirmed your eligibility for the UWE Travel Insurance Policy. The Travel Insurance Policy, and additional overseas placement information, can be found in our confirming your placement section - a letter/formal email from the organisation/employer confirming your offer - agreed to share updates from your time abroad (via social media or blogs) and provide these to the Go Global team. Please note: The bursary will be awarded on a first come, first served basis once full evidence has been provided. Therefore, once the funds are exhausted or we reach the end of the academic year, the bursary will come to a close. Exclusions The bursary will not be available to the following: - Part-time students - Postgraduate students - Non-Home students - Students going overseas to participate in a UWE Study Abroad exchange programme with integrated work experience - Retrospective applications.
  • Application details:
  • You will need to initially complete the Eligibility Checker through InfoHub to confirm that you are eligible to apply for the bursary. Once you have been told that you are eligible to apply, you will be taken to the full application form on InfoHub. To complete your application you will need to submit the following evidence: - Student Finance Funding notification confirming the amount of funding you are in receipt of. - Worldwide travel insurance policy documentation or confirmed your eligibility for the UWE Travel Insurance Policy. The Travel Insurance Policy, and additional overseas placement information, can be found in our confirming your placement section. - A letter/formal email from the organisation/employer confirming your offer. If successful, you will be asked to complete a BACS form which will need to be emailed to the Money Advice and Funds Service team: mafs@uwe.ac.uk or sent to any InfoPoint. Once you have completed and handed in your BACS form your payment will be processed and paid into your nominated back account. UWE Bristol reserves the right to request further information/withdraw your application if it is felt the opportunity you are undertaking is not genuine and/or beneficial to your future employment prospects.

British Council will select eight students from India, each of whom will receive an award towards the cost of tuition fees. for 1 Academic year
UWE Care Leaver's Bursary for Undergraduate Students
3000 per year for 1 year only New students who meet the Care Leaver criteria for the UWE Bursary will receive £3,000 in the first year, paid in three instalments. In both your second and third years, you will receive £1,000. for 1 Academic year
UWE Alumni Scholarship
15% tuition fee discount on full-time and part-time taught postgraduate courses. for 1 Academic year
Indonesia-UK DIKTI Scholarship Programme
The programme will fund up to 750 academics to come and study in the UK over the next five years. for 1 Academic year
UWE Bristol Santander Postgraduate Scholarship
5000 Your scholarship will be paid directly into your bank account after you have registered and started attending your course in September 2017. If you wish, the scholarship can be used to cover some of your tuition fees.
